About The Spine Center

The Spine Center, Lansing Neurosurgery's sister facility, is an "all in one" option for pain treatment. Board-certified physical medicine and rehabilitation physicians collaborate with physical therapists and massage and acupuncture providers to offer rehabilitation, sports medicine, physical therapy, pain management, spinal injections, massage and acupuncture.

The Spine Center features 10,000 square feet of physical therapy space, a large heated pool for aquatic therapy and an on-site pain treatment facility where our physicians perform injections to alleviate pain and conduct EMG tests to diagnose nerve injuries and disorders.

Biography

Mike joined The Spine Center in November, 2007 because he was in search of a facility where he could offer exceptional patient care in a one-on-one setting. He has been a physical therapist for four years in the mid-Michigan area. Mike has a family history of healthcare careers; his father is a physician's assistant, so the choice of physical therapy was a natural one for him. Sports medicine is a main interest, particularly performance enhancement. His specialties as a physical therapist include high-level sports training, including golf performance training, and the treatment of TMJ. He is also well-versed in ergonomics and conducts work-site evaluations. Mike's vision for The Spine Center is to see it become a center of choice for spinal care and physical therapy. For him, the best thing about The Spine Center is the ability to give patients one-on-one care and having access to a large staff to serve as a sounding board, resulting in a team approach to patient treatments.

The search for a better economic outlook brought Mike to the Lansing area from Jackson after he received his Bachelor of Science degree from Grand Valley State University and his Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Central Michigan University. He is a member of the Mason Chamber of Commerce and enjoys golf, biking and U of M football games.
