About The Spine Center
The Spine Center, Lansing Neurosurgery's sister facility, is an "all in one" option for pain treatment. Board-certified physical medicine and rehabilitation physicians collaborate with physical therapists and massage and acupuncture providers to offer rehabilitation, sports medicine, physical therapy, pain management, spinal injections, massage and acupuncture.
The Spine Center features 10,000 square feet of physical therapy space, a large heated pool for aquatic therapy and an on-site pain treatment facility where our physicians perform injections to alleviate pain and conduct EMG tests to diagnose nerve injuries and disorders.
Laura Potts joined The Spine Center as Massage Therapist in April, 2009. She has been a massage therapist in the Lansing area for seven years, following her graduation from the Flint School of Therapeutic Massage. Laura joined The Spine Center because, "I love the idea that the Spine Center offers so many different options for a client, all in one office. It very much seems like a team where everyone has the patient's well-being in mind." Laura believes strongly in preventive care and the role massage plays in maintaining good health. She specializes in deep tissue, pre-natal and trigger point massage for relaxation and therapy. Her vision is to make everyone more aware of the benefits of massage, "Whether for relaxation, chronic pain or injury, massage can be an important part of one's life. Each person has their own story and concerns. It's my job to effectively treat them. Sometimes it may be challenging but my goal is to have everyone leave feeling better and more relaxed, with the intent they will return."
Laura was born and raised in Eaton Rapids, Mich. She enjoys drawing, painting, movies and playing with her Doberman Pinscher.
