About Eco-Friendly Digital Marketing Internship
The Eco-Friendly Digital Marketing Internship is a semester long program designed to train interns in Digital Marketing. Coined ″Eco-Friendly″ because of the minimal commuting, this internship was created to meet the growing demand for digital savvy graduates.
The exciting program is in full swing at Ingenex Digital Marketing headquarters. Based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, this full-service interactive marketing firm is run by CEO, Derek Mehraban.
Currently focused on social media marketing (SMM), search engine optimization (SEO), digital marketing strategy, and online public relations, the curriculum is poised to carry interns to a new level of digital awareness. The necessary tools to bring our world digital can always change, which is why this hands-on experience is unparalleled in Michigan today.
The Eco-Friendly Digital Marketing Internship will continue to keep in mind the very real issues of today′s fragile environment, while providing a terrific means for recent graduates to expand their education in all things digital.
A graduate of Denison University, Katherine Hyzy received her B.A. in Environmental Studies in May 2008. Katherine has acquired a diverse academic background and is currently adding to her credentials through a variety of professional experiences.
In the summer of 2007, Katherine studies abroad in the Turks and Caicos Islands through the School for Field Studies. This experience helped her fine-tune her researching skills and expand her knowledge of marine science.
Katherine spent the summer of 2008 as the Marketing/PR Intern of Green Market Fundraising based in Chicago, Illinois. This proved to ignite Katherine′s interest in the ′green′ side of marketing, an interest she hopes to expand on further in her professional career. Working for this start-up organization, Katherine saw the inner workings of a green company and was able to gain the necessary tool sets to pursue marketing/PR
Currently, Katherine is working at the Ann Arbor Hands on Museum. Here, she works as the pre-school gallery attendant as well as helps to facilitate public programs. Katherine truly enjoys the opportunity to teach science to young children and to help inspire them for the years to come.
Additionally, Katherine is working as an Eco-Friendly Digital Marketing Intern for Ingenex Digital Marketing. At Ingenex Digital Marketing, the internship focuses on learning about essential digital marketing, branding and social networking. The internship specifically highlights green marketing and the investigation of ways in which this technology may become more applied both within the company and to the world at large.

Green Market Fundraising is an organization that provides green fundraising products and services to organizations looking to raise money. The product catalog includes compact fluorescent light-bulbs (CFLs, reusable bags and solar-powered chargers. Specifically, Katherine helped to expand consumer database, fine-tune the monthly newsletter, and research state-wide energy efficiency programs.
