I am a marketing guy that dreams in color. I refuse to grow up and I think that keeps me sharp and in touch with the market.
Basically, I have been in marketing my entire career since graduating from U of M in 1986. I have been mostly client-side but I did try the agency thing, turned grey and quickly returned.
I am enjoying my shift from corporate America to higher ed - a huge learning curve, but it is really cool to do something different. Prior to this job, I was Vice President of Global Marketing for Kelly Services World HQ for 13 years. Which means I traveled, A LOT. I loved the job and experienced things I never would have imagined, while making some incredible friends along the way. However, it was time for a change.
I came to Walsh with the goal of developing a plan to build and engage in research to better understand our brand essence, and more importantly, what drives student motivation to go to school and their selection process. Thus embarking on my mission to differentiate Walsh in an extremely cluttered, and homogenized category.
In addition to my work at Walsh, I am currently a grad student working towards my Masters in Advertising. I am continually learning to sharpen my skills and stay on the cutting edge of the industry.

Oversee marketing, enrollment management, public relations, and government relations functions. Continually advance & maintain the brand position and strategy, and ensure brand compliance throughout the organization. Design, execute, and evaluate integrated marketing and external communications plans, as well as oversee web site design, functionality, and search optimization. In charge of market research and competitive analysis. Manage staff and external consulting services, while acting as the primary media liaison and spokesperson.
