Biography

I consider myself a global-minded, innovative and energetic person. I started my career in the language industry early on in life and soon developed a passion for different languages, cultures and communication.

After having worked in the field for many years as a freelance translator and interpreter, I founded a translation agency named Russian Connection. By 1999, my translation agency was offering an array of language related services that the name was changed to Bromberg & Associates. Under my leadership, Bromberg & Associates has achieved a tremendous growth and expansion currently offering services in over 150 languages. The company just celebrated its 10 year anniversary and is looking forward to many more decades of innovation and success on the forefront of the language industry. While running the company, I still work hard towards becoming a better interpreter. One of the highlights in my career includes the fact that I am the first fully certified Court Interpreter between Russian and English languages in the State of Michigan.

My publications include B&A′s Medical and Legal Interpreter Training Guides and a Language Interpretation in Health Care report which I have co-authored. Raising the bar and improving quality of interpreting services is one of my pet peeves. We have been providing training to aspiring bilinguals and practicing interpreters since 2003. However, in the spring of 2009 we moved our interpreter training to a new environment and launched an innovative language-specific legal interpreter training program online. The next course designed to train medical interpreters is due in 2010.
