About Walsh College
A practical blend of business theory and real-world application defines the Walsh College experience. Our mission is to empower students as successful leaders and professionals in a complex global environment. The faculty is experienced professionals as well as being dedicated teachers, while the administrative staff ensures each student receives personalized service in a professional learning environment.
It′s funny to think that in the last 10 years, I′ve moved only 20 feet from the front desk of Admissions & Advising to the desk I sit at as Director today. The 10 years that it has taken to move that 20 feet has been the most rewarding time in my life. I′ve held the titles of Academic Advisor, Coordinator, Student Recruitment, Assistant Director, and today Director, Admissions & Academic Advising in my years here at Walsh.
In all of my positions, I′ve had the opportunity to work closely with current and prospective students, helping them set the direction for the rest of their lives. My roles as Coordinator, Assistant Director and Director allowed me to reach out to partner institutions and organizations to develop relationships to benefit future Walsh College students. Developing these ″relationships″ has also translated into many ″friendships″ with individuals at many of these organizations.
My role as Director of Admissions & Academic Advising continues to provide with new challenges on a daily (sometimes hourly) basis. It has been very rewarding to work in a managerial role at the college-I enjoy the responsibility of helping staff, and the department as a whole to continuously improve.
Moving forward, I want to continue my journey in higher education. I enjoy the variety, challenges and rewards that are common in this industry and hope for a long, gratifying career in higher education.
