In his just completed position as Group Managing Partner, he has led the firm′s efforts to create a new client service model that highlights areas of industry excellence in manufacturing and distribution, finance, government, healthcare and human services, real estate and construction, the service industry and private equity. This new approach distinguishes Plante & Moran and allows it to better leverage its collective industry expertise and to sustaining the high level of client service people expect from Plante & Moran.
In 2001, he was appointed to the AICPA Group of 100, a prestigious group drawing from various segments of the profession that advises the AICPA regarding the future of the accounting profession. Gordon is the board chair for the Dearborn Community Fund and a member of the Detroit Regional Chamber and New Detroit. He is also very active in The Executive Committee (TEC).
