About Lansing Neurosurgery
Lansing Neurosurgery, a Centis Health partner located in East Lansing, Mich., is the premier provider of neurosurgical services in the Mid-Michigan region. Our board-certified physicians treat brain and spinal disorders and trauma using the most appropriate surgical and non-surgical techniques, including minimally-invasive spine surgery, to restore our patients to their best health.
Since 1969, Lansing Neurosurgery physicians have worked to establish strong referral relationships with doctors throughout Michigan, becoming a neurosurgical resource serving the community around the clock.
Dr. Abood was raised in the Lansing community and chose medicine as a career in order to make a difference. He is inspired by the technical demands of neurosurgery and the reward of helping people overcome difficult problems. He joined Lansing Neurosurgery in 1997 after completing his training with a Spine Surgery Fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas. The results of his research have been published in several journals including the Journal of Neurosurgery. His cases cover the range of neurosurgical disorders, including brain tumors, head trauma, spinal disorders, spinal infections and trauma. His goal for Lansing Neurosurgery is that it remain a world-class provider of neurosurgical care to the greater Lansing community.
Dr. Abood enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, especially on Lake Michigan. He is active with many community service organizations. He is an advisor to the Greater Lansing Food Bank, founded by his father, and a member of the Sparrow Foundation Board of Directors.
