IteroText Translation Services was established in 1973 in Detroit, Michigan as AAA Language Services to address the growing need for international information exchange and technical translation.
Since those early years, the need has not only continued to expand, but the requirements for better consistency, higher quality and lower cost have increased.
The use of technology in the translation field has also changed the landscape. With the advent of translation memory, content management and authoring memory systems, the field is rapidly advancing and IteroText has been leading the way.

I am a globally minded and passionate person, who believes that we are citizens of a very diverse world. I look for ways to connect with people and build relationships. These are fundamental human activities that reach across borders, cultures and languages.
My passion for language, culture, communications and learning far exceed what one would call average. I am so excited about my career, job and company. I think I am one of the lucky few who have figured out how to make a personal passion make money for me. My experiences living in both Alicante, Spain and Brasilia, Brasil have helped me to understand what is is like to not know a language or culture but to be embraced by the local people. I have so many fond memories of the family I lived with and the people that I met from these experiences. I am blessed to still call them my families and to have kept in touch as well as visit often all these years later. I would say that I have fully embraced them as well.
Working in the translation industry is always interesting. From the translators and clients who are all over the world and specialize in many different subjects, my day is never the same from one to the next. I am often times up very late speaking to Asia and up very early speaking to Europe. Since I am not constrained by the 9-5 world, I have a lot of flexibility to network, meet clients, and create conversations.
I am an avid user of Social Media and Web 2.0 technologies. As a person born on the cusp of Generation X and Y - I am fortunate enough to understand and embrace this new frontier. I see many advantages for global businesses or those that want to take their companies across borders to use the newer technologies of Skype, Blogging, Podcasting, Social Networking and many others to integrate their content and marketing to create a VERY powerful message and conversation with their clients, customers, employees and partners.
