Derek Mehraban has enjoyed a successful 15-year career as a creative marketing professional and leader in the digital marketing industry. Mehraban has amassed considerable experience leading online and offline marketing efforts for consumer products, automotive, healthcare, manufacturing, education and business-to-business clients. Mehraban is a graduate of Michigan State University, and worked for DMB&B, Campbell-Ewald, and Q LTD before founding Ingenex in 2006.

Biography

Having grown up in Michigan, been a part of the automotive industry, and an active participant in the revitalization of downtown Detroit, I am invested in Michigan. I believe that Michigan is the state of the future, and there are so many talented people right here in the city of Detroit, Ann Arbor and all surrounding suburbs in the state of Michigan. My goal is to help businesses grow and succeed in our state and bring more people to Michigan.

I am a firm believer in the power of the World Wide Web. I have been using the Internet to market and promote businesses over the last 10 years. I feel there is a unique opportunity for individuals to maximize their personal success, and the success of their companies by building and managing a credible online presence. People can do this through web sites, blogs, social media sites, wikis, and more.

I help companies and individuals understand the power of the web. I help them navigate the digital space to get the most bang for their buck. I help them build out professional profiles on social media sites, and manage their profiles for maximum effect. If a business is looking to engage in new media marketing, I guide them and build a system that works for their business. It is my job. And I firmly believe this work will play an important role in growing the state of Michigan and improving the economy for all who live here.
